I am pleased to introduce myself to you as the Coordinator of Literacy Volunteers of Waldo County. I have always loved reading and writing.  Many books have opened my eyes, my heart, and my mind to new possibilities, and for that I am grateful.  For most of my life, I have worked in libraries and education to share the deep pleasures of literacy. This includes over fifteen years at the Maine Humanities Council where I provided training and resources on tips for reading aloud. I have recently returned to school, studying literacy education at the University of Maine. I look forward to offering the best program services I can to support the dedicated efforts of literacy volunteers and their learning partners.
